DHK provided plans for the historic preservation of a Gatehouse built in 1886 on the Nashua River. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The objective of the project was to stop and reverse the deterioration of the structure and rehabilitate it to serve as a useful and contributing historic element of Mine Falls Park. The gatehouse was restored and converted into an educational facility that illustrates the beginning of the industrial revolution that brought hydraulic power and mechanical technology to textile mills in the city.
